Adjust Seasonality Bidding Strategy on Google Ads this Holiday Season

Google is offering more smart bidding strategies to online advertisers from May 16, 2019. Around 70% of advertisers use automated bidding this time, everyone needs to get as precise as they can. Google introduces Seasonality bidding strategies adjustments for both search campaigns and display campaigns.

As smart bidding is performing well in driving businesses. But, still advertisers are looking for better opportunities to raise their business goals. 

Seasonality adjustments in smart bidding means, if you know your conversion rates will increase at the time of festive season. You can now schedule that adjustments in your campaigns for that period.

Smart bidding uses machine learning, helps advertisers to improve Google Ads Campaigns performance. As advertisers were already using smart bidding. But, still they are planning to increase their campaign performance during sales or when new product launches.

To improve campaign performance during this time, you can set seasonality adjustments in your campaigns. For example, advertisers are planning for Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale and you know that this festive season you’ll get hike in sales by 50%.

With this settings of seasonality bidding strategies adjustments, you can set high target CPA as an estimated conversion rate in smart bidding for that selected date range.

 

 

Steps to set Seasonality Adjustments in Google Ads

Advertisers can do this through the following steps – 

  1. Sign-in to your Google Ads account.
  2. On top right corner, click the Tools icon.
  3. Choose Bidding Strategies under “Shared Library”.
  4. Select Advanced Controls.
  5. Click ‘+’ icon to create New Seasonality Adjustments.
  6. Enter your adjustment name and description, set the event’s start and end dates, and choose your scope and devices.
  7. Adjust your conversion rate to reflect your estimated conversion rate change and click Save.
