Are you aware of SEO Analytics?
SEO Analytics is as essential for a Website… as Oxygen for Life!
Every business account registered with Google Analytics can measure the efforts put in doing the SEO of their site. Metrics mentioned below are used to calculate the progress of the SEO for the registered account.
Tricks To Achieve SEO Success Via Google Analytics
1. Custom Segment
Custom Segment is the key feature of Google Analytics from the decades now. It is so popular because it extends the details of the audience that may be very much beneficial for the marketer, managers, and/or business holders.
All you require to do is to enable the Google Analytics SEO dashboard to get your SEO results monitored. SEO dashboard in Google Analytics showcases the reports that track the data from various sources and mediums towards your site,i.e., the report provides the results in varied forms of data, i.e.
- when the user visits on site and for how long he stayed?
- how the user traversed on the site from the landing page till the exit?
- which device did the user prefer to log in to your site like desktop, mobile, and tablet?
- who completed the goal?
- which goal is achieved?
All these questions are very basic from one aspect. But, try looking into them from the other aspect. Often, the answers lie in the deepest details. Answers to these questions may lead to a better understanding of the audience preferences and behavior.
2. Organic Search Traffic And Keywords Ranking
Today it’s not about “getting the traffic”,
It is about “get the targeted and relevant traffic”…
Everyone wishes to rank #1 on Google SERP knowing it is a very slow process.
SEO is considered as the slowest marketing technique yet the most powerful. The only away to rank faster on Google is through the already ranking keywords and keyphrases.
Organic search traffic is the source that shows the traffic coming directly from the google search. Google Analytics provides Acquisition reports from where you can access the traffic data.
Log in to your Google Analytics account and follow the path ⇾ Acquisition >> All Traffic >> Channels.
Acquisition report is the direct solution for classifying the traffic into segments.
Taking a step forward, click on the Organic Search report to get a better analysis into the results. You’ll see a list of keywords appearing in front of you. These keywords are your ranking keywords, i.e., through these keywords, traffic is coming to your site. These keywords are also termed as Search Queries in terms of Analytics.
Note: (Not Provided) is the set of organic keywords that your users might have a search on google before landing to your page. (Not Set) is used to remark the data that Google analytics didn’t receive the information about.
You can track the phrases and the pages where these keyphrases are appearing by enabling Advanced feature. Nevertheless, Monthly volume, CPC, and Competition are also made available by the GA for the convenience in tracking the keywords.
Note: If you still are not able to see the list of keywords and/or phrases, try integrating your Google Search Console with your Google Analytics account.
3. Focus On Site Speed
Do you know the importance of Loading Speed for your site? Well, it shouldn’t be beyond 10 seconds. In fact, 10 seconds are still much. Your user will skip the loading and leave if it takes too long.
Try monitoring your site speed over various platforms and optimize it, if needed. So, your visitors engage with your site pages and increase your conversion rate instead of bouncing back. You may test your site speed using speed analyzer tool or simply just monitor it on Google Analytics for every second’s details.
4. Conversion Rate
With Google Analytics, you must be following your regular goal completion and conversion rate too. Hence, it is easier for you to track the top-performing content and pages on your site.
This means that when you know that conversion has occurred and from where the maximum conversion is happening. It is no difficult then to analyze the content that your visitors are preferring.
Also, you’ll know that which content has the maximum bounce rate and can further hunt for the reasons for its cause to cut them down.
5. Bounce Rate
One of the major factors of dropping SEO is your site’s bounce rate. There can be many reasons for the site’s bounce rate like-
- The user didn’t find what he was looking for and left the site.
- Your site wasn’t tempting enough for him to stay
- It took too long to load the page or images/content.
…And more!
If you measure your site success in terms of user engagements and site performances, surely higher bounce rate is the negative outflow. Look keenly into how you set your goals before you monitor your site’s bounce rate.
