Integrate your WooCommerce Store with Ontraport: Follow Step-by-step!

Step 1.) Get the Ontraport WooCommerce Integration PRO
If you haven’t got your Ontraport WooCommerce Integration PRO yet, get it before you proceed ahead with the steps to configure the integration for your WooCommerce store.

Note: You’ll need to add the integration (purchased or downloaded free) to your WooCommerce Store similarly like you add other integrations. To do so, go to the WooCommerce menu option on your dashboard and enable the “Ontraport WooCommerce Integration PRO”.
Step 2.) Create an Account on Ontraport Marketing Automation Platform
You must have an account on Ontraport CRM to connect your WooCommerce store with Ontraport. Simply go to ontraport.com and choose the package that suits best for your business.
Step 3.) Connect your WooCommerce Store with Ontraport
To connect your WooCommerce Store with Ontraport, you’ll need to enter your Ontraport App ID and App Key in the fields marked in the above image and enable the logging requests checkbox.
Where to Find the Ontraport App ID & App Key?
You may get your Ontraport App ID & App Key from your Ontraport account. Follow the steps below to generate the same –
- Go to Ontraport dashboard> Administration> Integrations
- Select “Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager”
- Click on “New API Key”
- Mention the name of the key in the next window that appears and set the API Key permissions. Click on “Save”.
- The key is created now. Simply select the key. The window with app permissions will open. There you’ll find the API App ID and API Key.
- Copy the App ID & Key from there and paste it in the integration interface as shown above in the image.
Once the required App ID & App Key is input in the marked fields, click on the Save button and your connection will be established in absolutely no time.
Click on “Proceed to Next Step” to move further to set up the integration settings.
Step 4.) Setup Ontraport WooCommerce Integration PRO
Under this section, you’ll need to enable the following four settings and select the varied options under each set up to enable the syncing of your WooCommerce data with your Ontraport CRM.
The four setup options here are –
- Sync Contact Records
- Sync Sales Record
- Add Tag on Purchase
- Add Marketing Checkbox
As you’ll enable the settings from the Ontraport WooCommerce Integration PRO, you’ll observe that your WooCommerce data is automatically synced with your Ontraport CRM account.

Step 5.) Setup Abandoned Carts Tracking
Abandoned carts setting helps you to keep track of the cart status and plan the procedure to deal with the abandoned carts of your WooCommerce store’s customers.
- Enable the cart sync property
- Add the time in minutes to consider the cart as an Abandoned cart
- Set the days to delete the cart from your Ontraport CRM
- Add contact tags before you save the changes.
As you click on “Save Settings”, a notification appears that asks you to create an abandoned cart section over Ontraport. When you click on Create, automatically a section gets created over Ontraport CRM.
After saving the cart settings, move to the next section “Cart List”. Under this tab, you can see the list of all the carts abandoned along with the other valued data in regards to the cart abandoned(as shown in the image below).
Step 6.) Campaigns & Sequences
You can also subscribe to your WooCommerce customers to your various campaigns with this amazing feature of campaigns and sequences.
